Exercise 1.
A/ In each pair of sentences find the sentence containing The Nominative with the Infinitive = Complex Subject and that containing The Objective with the Infinitive = Complex Object.
a. We believe him to finish the work tomorrow,
b. He is believed to finish the work tomorrow.
2. a. We ordered the timber to be delivered within ten days,
b. The timber is ordered to be delivered within ten days.
3. a. The drainage system is expected to be completed next month,
b. We expect the drainage system to be completed next month.
In each pair of sentences state the form of the infinitive and the type of the Infinitive Construction used in them. State the difference in their meaning.
